What data does the vyzn material catalogue contain?

Last updated July 2, 2026

Short Answer

The vyzn material catalogue contains standard materials and components with all the information required for the respective analyses. This includes, for example, greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), biogenic carbon and embodied energy, as well as building physics data such as thermal conductivity and heat capacity.

Why It Matters

The information stored in the catalogue forms the basis for the respective analyses in vyzn. Because the standard materials and components already contain all the data required for them, you can use them directly for your evaluations without any manual data entry.

How It Works in vyzn

The vyzn standard materials and components include the following data, among others:

  • Greenhouse gas emissions (GHG)
  • Biogenic carbon
  • Embodied energy
  • Building physics data such as thermal conductivity and heat capacity

This gives you all the information required for the respective analyses.

Update (version 1.8.5)

As of version 1.8.5, products in the catalog can also be duplicated, the former label «Bezugsgrösse» for materials is now called «Materialmenge», and some master data in the system catalog (including density values and LCA metadata) has been corrected.
