What is the difference between "Material Costs" and "Quantity Takeoff"?

Last updated August 7, 2026

Explanation

"Material Costs" calculates purely area-based: per model element, area × "Price in CHF" of the assigned component, summed to the "Component Costs" metric.

"Quantity Takeoff" provides a quantity framework organized by eBKP-H, where you enter your own cost rates per position (CHF/unit or lump sums) and export as CSV.

In short: Material Costs = quick cost metric from catalog prices, Quantity Takeoff = detailed, eBKP-H-structured cost framework.
