How do I update my model with the Replay function?

Last updated July 2, 2026

Short Answer

The Replay function reuses the settings you have already made when you re-integrate a model, instead of starting from scratch. You will find it in the integration assistant's "Advanced mode", in the "Replay" step.

When to Use This

  • When you want to re-integrate a model without redoing all your settings from scratch.
  • "Quick re-integrate" is suitable when you want to adjust settings and the geometry does not need to be reprocessed.
  • "Full re-integrate" is suitable when the 3D model should be completely reprocessed, for example after a longer period of time (takes approx. 5–30 minutes).

Prerequisites

  • Replay is only available in the "Advanced mode" of the integration assistant – the Express mode does not offer this function.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open "Re-integrate model…" from the variant's action menu.
  2. Choose "Quick re-integrate" (settings can be adjusted, geometry is not reprocessed) or "Full re-integrate" (the 3D model is completely reprocessed, approx. 5–30 minutes, e.g. after a longer period of time).
  3. Select "Advanced mode" in the integration assistant – only this mode offers Replay.
  4. In the "Replay" step, choose one of the two options:
    • "Quick Replay": takes over all settings from the last run.
    • "Replay": select an earlier variant and copy only selected areas (zones, model elements, building services, other resources, thermal bridges).
  5. Check the preview to see what will be taken over.
  6. Click "Save".

Expected Result

The preview shows you which settings will be taken over. Clicking "Save" creates a new variant with the copied settings.

Common Mistakes

  • Choosing Express mode: Replay is not available there – only "Advanced mode" offers this function.
