Can I combine multiple models (architecture, HVAC, structural)?

Last updated July 2, 2026

Short Answer

Yes, multiple models per project are possible: you can keep several IFC models per building, for example architecture, structural and HVAC. The uploads coexist, but vyzn does not currently offer automatic merging of multiple models into a single combined model.

How It Works in vyzn

  • Multiple models per building: You can keep several IFC models per building, for example architecture, structural and HVAC.
  • No overwriting: The uploads coexist – a new model does not overwrite existing ones.
  • Automatic duplicate detection: vyzn automatically recognizes identical files, avoiding duplicate processing effort.
  • Independent processing: Each model is processed independently; automatic merging of multiple models into a single combined model is not available today.
  • Recommendation: Merge the models before uploading them to the vyzn platform – for example in your CAD or BIM coordination tool.
  • Building services (HVAC): You model the building services in vyzn via the automatic generation of building services elements within your variant.
