Short Answer
Open the "Material costs" page for the desired model version. vyzn calculates the costs automatically: each component in the model is matched to the corresponding product in your catalog by its name, and for each element the stored price (attribute "PriceCHF", in Swiss francs) is multiplied by its net area. The sum is shown as the "component costs".
When to Use This
Use this page when you want to determine area-based material costs for a model version. Please note: this is not an eBKP-H cost breakdown.
Prerequisites
- Prices are maintained in the catalog (attribute "PriceCHF", in Swiss francs).
- The components in the model can be matched to the corresponding products in your catalog by their names.
- The elements have a net area; elements without an area are not included in the calculation.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Open the "Material costs" page for the desired model version.
- vyzn determines the costs automatically: for each element, the stored price ("PriceCHF") is multiplied by the element's net area.
- Check the notices: elements without a price appear as "components with a missing attribute", elements without an area as "element without an area" – neither is included in the total.
- Click "Recalculate" to update the result.
Expected Result
The sum of the calculated costs is shown as the "component costs". If the data changes, vyzn marks the calculation as outdated – click "Recalculate" to bring it up to date again.
Common Mistakes
- Missing prices in the catalog: elements without a price appear as "components with a missing attribute" and are not included in the result.
- Elements without an area: they are listed as "element without an area" and are not taken into account.
- Wrong expectation about the structure: the calculation provides area-based material costs, not an eBKP-H cost breakdown.
