Short Answer
You calculate energy efficiency per variant in the "Energy efficiency" area – a verification according to SIA 380/1, calculated from your model (zones, component U-values, thermal bridges, plus the weather station and altitude set on the building). Pick the verification type, click "Start calculation" – and you get the key figures including the system verification as a PDF.
Prerequisites
- At least one zone is marked as energy reference area.
- The zone data is complete according to SIA 380/1:2016.
- The components' U-values are available.
- The weather station and altitude above sea level are set on the building.
- Thermal bridges are recommended – if they are missing, vyzn shows a warning.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Open the desired variant and switch to the "Energy efficiency" area.
- At the top, choose the verification type – SIA 380/1, MINERGIE-P, MINERGIE-A and MINERGIE-ECO are available.
- Click "Start calculation".
- vyzn first checks the prerequisites automatically. If something is missing, you are pointed to it with a direct link to the affected place (e.g. zone management, model elements or building details).
- The calculation then runs through four steps: preparation, data processing, energy efficiency calculation, saving results.
Expected Result
You get the key figures: heating demand (Q_H) with its limit (Q_H,li), effective and altitude-corrected heating demand, heating load and limit, energy reference area, envelope ratio, transmission heat loss, plus a fulfilled/not-fulfilled indication. You can download the system verification as a PDF.
Good to know: the actual SIA 380/1 calculation cores run via our calculation partner Enerweb – vyzn prepares your model data in conformity with the standard, hands it over and presents the results.
