How It Works in vyzn
Storage Location and Region
The vyzn platform runs on Microsoft Azure. Your project, building and model data is stored in an Azure database (configured for high availability) as well as in Azure Blob and File Storage. The European region "West Europe" is configured, and the authentication service (Auth0) also runs in the EU region. As the operator, vyzn AG (Zurich) is subject to Swiss data protection law and, where applicable, the EU GDPR.
Encryption and Access Control
All communication uses HTTPS/TLS (encrypted in transit). Storage uses server-side Azure storage encryption (encrypted at rest). Access to model and file storage is granted only via time-limited, signed access links (HTTPS-only, with expiring validity). Authentication and access control use Auth0 with role-based permissions (e.g. read, write and admin roles) and tenant separation at the application level.
Note on Third-Party Services
For the 3D model viewer, vyzn uses the Autodesk Viewer, which processes data in the "us" region (outside the EU). Additionally, according to the privacy policy, services such as Google Analytics and Google Maps are used, which may transfer data to servers in the USA.
Certifications
A formal ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification is currently not confirmed. If such documentation is required for your procurement or compliance needs, the vyzn team can provide a binding statement on the current certification and audit status.
