vyzn receives Minergie and SNBS certification
The building sector is one of the largest sources of CO2 in Switzerland, with the construction phase increasingly gaining importance compared to the operational phase. Now vyzn AG, an ETH spin-off, has secured a significant milestone in the construction and real estate industry: vyzn AG's Life Cycle Assessment App has been recognized as the first web-based 3D/BIM-capable software for Minergie/-P/-A/-ECO and SNBS certification. With this, the company sends a strong signal for environmentally friendly construction through the use of innovative technology.
Through this pioneering development, professionals in the construction industry – including planners, architects, sustainability consultants or real estate developers – can, for the first time, automatically analyze, optimize and certify the entire life cycle of a structure based on building models. This includes greenhouse gas emissions (GHGE) and embodied energy, from the construction phase through possible changes of use to demolition and disposal.
Adrian Henke, CEO of vyzn AG, is pleased about the certification and adds: "It is of central importance that the construction and real estate industry becomes more sustainable. The tools currently available are often limited, especially when planning is model-based. The representatives of Minergie and NNBS see vyzn's certification as a considerable advantage for their labels.

The accreditation of vyzn's Life Cycle Assessment App as web-based 3D/BIM-capable software is therefore a significant step. The software will simplify model-based planning and the provision of proof. Ecobau developed the framework conditions for the certification in a pilot project. vyzn AG intends to use these certifications as a basis for the further development of its products. As a next step, the focus is in particular on the circularity app supported by Innosuisse.
